Life

Life is short. Very short. We never know when it is going to come to a end. It could be tonight, tomorrow, or 50 years from now. Trey, a friend of mine from the Fire Department, is an amazing example to me. When he was just 16 years of age, both of his parents were diagnosed with cancer. Less then six months later, his monther passed away. Not even two weeks after his mother passed away, his dad passed away. Trey, who is now 18 years old, is one of the happest people I know. I asked him how he could be so happy when he lost both of his parents at the same time. He told me he had to honor them and remember the good times and that is what keeps him going day to day. I do not think I have ever seen him without a smile on his face. I took this story he told me as a lesson. Life is short. So while we are here on this earth we should make the best of it. We should love everyone, forgive and forget, be happy, help others, and smile. At times life will be hard but we can get through the hard times. All we have to do is pray, read the scriptures, and remember our Heavenly Father. My new goal is to get up every morning and tell myself that this is going to be a wonderful day. Trey thought he was going to have the rest of his life with his family, but he didn't. He wishes that he was happier around his parents and respected them more then he did. Well, I just thought I would put my thoughts down. Enjoy!
